There's a dirty wind blowing..
Posted on 2008-11-18

Beards and hoods, your letter from the war..

On the western front: Living With Lions, Carpenter, and Aspirations just wrapped up a tour of duty, and as Carpenter heads back west through the trenches, the Lions roll into the east to pair up with Fireworks for a handful of dates in Ontario/Quebec. Fire in the hole! Swapping brigades, Means is embarking on their final mission next week with Horizons supporting..November twenty-eighth their viking ship sets sail in Regina. A twenty-one gun salute is in order.

On the eastern front: Unity Tour hit the mighty Atlantic shores and ended it's campaign last weekend in Ontario, featuring Means..The Artist Life..and Kathleen Turner Overdrive, there was a parade! Farewell to Freeway is off to the front lines with Arise & Ruin as well as Straight Reads The Line next week, expect to see a three week run to the coast and then back into the dirty heartland that is southern Ontario.

Drafted: Andrew WK and Landmines joined the ranks, we are honored to call them comrades!

Love,
UOBA

Hey, Green Soldier.
Posted on 2008-10-03

A few pieces of news for your Friday afternoon, from the front-lines we've had two soldiers fall this week..but enlisted another..

Means announced their break-up earlier this week, and will be wrapping everything up with Unity Tour in eastern Canada, and with Horizons out west.

Yesterday Hot Springs posted a short and sweet blog that they are disbanding, and moving on.

Bummed about both, and you can read about each on their respective MySpace's.

On the brighter side, we've added Jason Mewes to the gang! Stoked. More on that coming soon..

A Spanish PSA
Posted on 2008-09-18

One of these days, when I finally learn spanish, I'll write these as such, and you'll be stoked (unless you're spanish of course) cause you'll have the best excuse for not having to read these..
Anyways, lets not delay the pain any longer....and the first stab comes straight out of Toronto with the signing of The Artist Life to the gang, both agency & label! We are stoked, they might be too, so that means you most likely will be..check it out, it's kinda like that dance crew show, but with sweeter dudes.

After 3 years of being in a coma, somewhere it should probably stay, UO's Unity Tour is hitting the ice this November. Dates are coming together, but the PSA is out there, so hit us back if you wanna put some dudes on a stage and watch them drink your beer, appealing hey? The likes of Means, Kathleen Turner, The Artist Life, and a magical dragon are enlisted.

That is all, for now.

A Sad Day For Mankind..
Posted on 2008-07-13

To all IHS'ers:

As everyone has come to suspect (well, our moms) we will no longer be playing live. Come to think of it, we won't be writing anymore music either. Oh shit! Our band is breaking up!

We got to play Germany, release two full-length records, blow up lots of vans, get bad beer guts....we were a band for over 7 years, lots of crap happened, I'm sure you can get all the dirt from the soon to be released IHS bio (ha, no).

Want a $10 t-shirt, last call? ihatesally@yahoo.ca for info. Want us to play in your town? Sorry, no can do. What'll we be doing with our pathetic lives now? Mcgee finally got a try out with the Raptors, Dee will be making select appearances on Degrassi Next Generation, Dan will go back his Santa gig at the mall, Marc will attempt to gain 322 pounds so he can fit into his King Kong Bundy wrestling outfit he scored in grade 4.

If we ever broke anything of yours, woke your house-mates up when we crashed at your place, or made fun of your pants and/or bad hair and/or bad taste in music and/or non-Canadian accents, we are ever-so-truly-by-all-means-so-so-extremely sorry.

And finally, of course, a legit thanks to anyone reading this that knows they played some part in it all. Being a band for so long was made a lot easier with some good help and great friends.

x o noogie thank you

Velcro your birthday shoes, today we turn the mighty one year old! I'll leave the celebratory thanks and what not to the clanking of beer bottles, but those of you..you know who thou are, thank you. the support and love is pretty much ridiculous.

On the note of clanking, if your in the Toronto area, we shall be in flying colors this evening at the mighty bovine. Come one, come all?

With that said, we are seriously stoked to have the one and only KEVIN SMITH join the agency roster for speaking engagements and all that is rad in that arena.
It's cool, you can say it.....amazing.

six o four
Posted on 2008-03-11

Far to much rad shit is coming out of the island that is the Vancouver scene, if you want to get into it..drop me a line..I'll hook you some links. The Grave Life and OperaStrike to name a couple, of course amongst the other bands already from the 604 on this roster!

The latest, Aspirations.
I have no idea what to say about this, other than "seriously?, yep."

Catch them in western Canada in April with Protest The Hero, Chiodos, and Fall of Troy.

Spread the word before you're two points less cool cause someone told you.

Inauguralities..(is a word)
Posted on 2008-02-17

So here it is, much love to Cpt. Meloche for getting this sexy site up and running..he reminds me of that movie Cool Runnings..

The inaugural "news", this past week we added a couple of sweet names to the family tree - This Is A Standoff from Calgary, a couple dudes from the mighty Belvedere and above said bro from Forty Cent Fix. If you haven't heard, find a way to press play. As well, Vinnie Fiorello is on board for speaking engagements, drummer of Less Than Jake and co-founder of Fueled By Ramen. Check out his profile and get into it.

On the road coming up, Hot Springs is heading across Canada..tying in CMW and SXSW showcases, Farewell to Freeway and Shotgun Rules are tag-teaming coast to coast through March/April, GrimSkunk is taking on Alberta and BC with Alpha Galates, and Staylefish is cutting reggae-wheat across the prairies.

Look for dates on the east coast for Daggermouth, an upcoming announcement for an Atticus tour, and tours from Means & The Flatliners in spring/summer..

Stoked.
